Lash Lift and Tint in Málaga
A lash lift is a technique that curls your natural lashes from the root using a shaping solution over a silicone shield; at Narumi we always include a tint to add colour. It's carried out by Marta Fernández at our beauty salon in Málaga city centre. No extensions are involved. The appointment takes about an hour and the effect lasts around 6–8 weeks, depending on how quickly your lashes renew.
- Duration
- Around 60 min
- Sessions
- 1 session; repeat once your lashes have renewed
- How often
- Roughly every 6–8 weeks
- How it feels
- Generally comfortable; your eyes stay closed throughout
What you can (and can't) expect
What it helps with
- A curl from the root, for a more open look
- Richer colour thanks to the tint, especially on fair tips
- Lashes that look longer and more visible without adding any hairs
- Convenience: you can forget the curler and use less mascara
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't add lashes or increase their number: for extra volume you'd need extensions, which we don't offer
- It doesn't make lashes grow or strengthen them
- It doesn't change the shape of the eye or lift the eyelid
Is it right for you?
Ideal for
- Straight or downward-pointing lashes
- Fair lashes or lashes with uncoloured tips
- Anyone wanting groomed-looking eyes every day with minimal make-up
- Holidays, the beach or sport: the effect stands up to water and sweat once the first 24–48 hours have passed
- People who wear glasses or contact lenses (lenses are removed during the session)
When we don't carry it out
- Conjunctivitis, a stye, blepharitis or any other eye infection or irritation
- Recent eye surgery or laser eye treatment, without the go-ahead from your ophthalmologist
- Known allergy to lash lift products or tint, or a reaction to the patch test
- Very damaged or broken lashes, or lashes just freed from extensions
- Lash extensions currently in place
- Very sensitive eyes or constant watering
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: hormonal changes can affect the result, so we'll discuss it with you
If you're unsure about your own situation, check with your doctor first. We'll go through it with you at your initial consultation.
Your session, step by step
-
Assessment and patch test
We look at the condition and length of your lashes, the shape of your eyes and the effect you'd like. If it's your first time or you have sensitive skin, we'll suggest a patch test a few days beforehand.
-
Cleansing and protection
We remove make-up and degrease your lashes, and protect your lower lashes with a pad so they don't come into contact with the product.
-
Choosing the shield
Marta chooses the size of the silicone shield to suit your lash length and the degree of curl that flatters you, then places your lashes on it one by one.
-
Shaping and setting
We apply the solution that softens the lash so it takes on its new shape, followed by the one that sets the curl. Timings are adjusted to the thickness of your lashes.
-
Tint and finish
We apply the tint to colour your lashes from root to tip, remove the products and comb them through. You leave with visible results.
How a lash lift works
Lashes are made of keratin, just like hair. A lash lift uses two products in sequence: the first temporarily softens the lash structure so it can take on the shape of a silicone shield placed on the eyelid; the second sets it in that new position. That’s why the curl starts at the root and looks far more natural than the one you get from a curler, which bends the lash at a single point.
The tint goes on at the end. Many lashes have lighter tips than roots, and tinting them reveals their true length. That’s why the result looks like “longer” lashes, even though not a single hair has been added.
Choosing the shield: what makes the difference
Not every lash or every eye calls for the same curl. A shield that’s too small for your lash length produces a very tight curl, almost a “C” shape; one that’s too large barely changes anything. Marta chooses the size based on the length of your lashes, the shape of your eye and eyelid, and how you want to look: a subtle everyday effect or a more defined curl.
Her training in professional make-up and colour theory also shows in the tint: the shade is chosen to suit your hair and brow colour, so your eyes look harmonious rather than painted.
Why the effect lasts as long as it does
Every lash has its own cycle: it grows, stays put for a while and then falls out to make way for a new one. Lashes at different stages sit side by side on the same eye. A treated lash keeps its curl until it falls; the one that grows in afterwards comes through straight. That’s why a lash lift doesn’t “drop” on a particular day but fades over several weeks, and why there’s no point repeating it before most of your lashes have renewed.
Lash lift and brows: a popular pairing
Lashes and brows are read together: curled lashes look even better with well-defined brows, and vice versa. If you’re considering microblading, let us know and we’ll plan the timing of each treatment so they don’t interfere with each other.
After your session
Aftercare
- Keep your lashes dry for 24–48 hours: no showering over your face, no swimming pools and no saunas
- Avoid mascara and lash curlers for those first 24–48 hours
- Don't rub your eyes or sleep face down on the first night
- From then on, remove make-up gently with oil-free products
- Comb your lashes every morning with a clean spoolie
It's normal to notice
- Slight itching or a little redness in the eye for a while if a tiny amount of product got in
- Lashes that feel a little stiff or very curled for the first few days, softening afterwards

What our clients say
Frequently asked questions
Where can I get a lash lift in Malaga?
At Narumi Estética Avanzada & Bienestar, Calle Cristo de la Epidemia 33, in central Málaga, a few minutes' walk from the historic centre and La Victoria. It's carried out by Marta Fernández, an advanced aesthetics specialist with more than 15 years' experience and a master's in professional make-up. Book via WhatsApp, phone or our contact form.
How much does a lash lift and tint cost?
The price of the lash lift and tint is in the price table on this page. If the table says "Consultar" (price on request), message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm it straight away. The tint is included: at Narumi we always do the lash lift with a tint so the result looks complete.
How long does a lash lift last?
The effect usually lasts between 6 and 8 weeks. It doesn't vanish overnight: treated lashes fall out naturally and new ones grow in straight, so the curl fades gradually. How long it lasts for you depends on how quickly your lashes renew and on your aftercare in the first few days.
How often can I have it done?
It's usually repeated once most of the treated lashes have renewed, roughly every 6–8 weeks. It's best not to repeat it sooner on the same lashes, because putting them through several processes in a row weakens them. If your lashes feel dry or fragile, we'll recommend waiting longer.
Does it hurt or feel uncomfortable?
Generally not. You spend the session lying down with your eyes closed. Some people feel slight itching if a tiny amount of product touches the eye, which is why it's important to tell us as soon as you feel anything and not to open your eyes until we say so.
Does a lash lift damage your lashes?
Done with timings adjusted to your lashes and with the right intervals, it shouldn't damage them. What does take its toll is repeating the process too often, rubbing your eyes or using a curler on lashes that are already curled. If your lashes are already weak or have just had extensions removed, we'd rather wait.
Can I have a lash lift if I wear contact lenses?
Yes. We'll ask you to take them out before we start and not to put them back in until a little while after the session, so there's no product residue in contact with them. Bring your lens case, and your glasses if you wear them.
Can I have a lash lift if I'm pregnant?
We'll discuss it with you. It isn't an invasive procedure, but the hormonal changes of pregnancy and breastfeeding can mean the lashes don't hold the curl well or the result is uneven. If you have any medical concerns, check with your doctor first.
Is it the same as lash extensions?
No. A lash lift works only with your natural lashes: it adds curl and colour, without adding anything. Extensions glue synthetic hairs onto each lash for volume and length, and need regular infills. We don't offer extensions at Narumi; if your goal is lots of volume, we'll tell you honestly.
What should I avoid after a lash lift?
For the first 24–48 hours, keep your lashes dry, skip mascara and curlers, avoid saunas, swimming pools and steam, and don't sleep face down. After that, you can carry on as normal. To make the effect last, remove make-up with oil-free products and comb your lashes every morning.
