Bridal makeup artist in Málaga: trial and long-wear wedding makeup
Bridal makeup at Narumi, in Málaga city centre, is done by Marta Fernández, who holds a master's in professional makeup and specialises in colour theory. It starts with a trial a few weeks before the wedding to define your look, match shades to your dress and the lighting, and check how it lasts. On the day, that same look is recreated, prepared to last from the ceremony to the dance floor and to photograph beautifully. Mothers of the couple and guests can book their makeup too.
- Duration
- Trial: up to 90 minutes. Wedding day: around an hour
- Sessions
- Trial + makeup on the wedding day
- How often
- Trial 1 to 2 months before the wedding
- How it feels
- Comfortable and calm; some time for you before the big day
What you can (and can't) expect
What it helps with
- Makeup decided calmly at the trial, with no surprises on the day
- Shades matched to your skin, your dress and the light at your ceremony
- Long wear, from the ceremony to the dance floor
- A natural look on photo and video, with flash and in natural light
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't replace looking after your skin in the months before
- It isn't semi-permanent makeup: for brows, have a look at microblading
Is it right for you?
Ideal for
- Brides getting married in Málaga who want makeup tailored to them
- Brides who want a natural finish and still want to look like themselves
- Mothers of the couple, bridesmaids and guests at the same wedding
- Brides who'd like a skincare plan in the run-up to the wedding
When we don't carry it out
- Active eye or skin infections on the date of the trial or the wedding
- Known allergies to cosmetics that you haven't told us about
- Intensive facial treatments in the week before the wedding that haven't been planned with us

If you're unsure about your own situation, check with your doctor first. We'll go through it with you at your initial consultation.
Your session, step by step
-
First conversation
Tell us the date, time and venue of your wedding, what your dress is like, your hairstyle and the look you have in mind. Feel free to bring reference photos.
-
Makeup trial
A few weeks before, at the centre, we try out the full look. We fine-tune the shades, intensity and details until you recognise yourself and love it.
-
Reviewing the trial
You leave wearing the makeup so you can see how it holds up over the day and how it looks in photos. If anything isn't quite right, we adjust it.
-
Skincare timeline
If you like, we plan facials in the months before, leaving enough time for your skin to be calm and settled on the day.
-
Your wedding day
We recreate the look agreed at your trial, on well-prepped skin and with a setting finish designed to last for hours.
Bridal makeup that looks like you
When brides look back at their wedding photos years later, the thing that bothers many of them isn’t unflattering makeup, it’s not recognising themselves. Our goal is the opposite: for you to look like you, at your very best, and still feel that way ten years from now.
Marta Fernández works with two skills that make all the difference at a wedding. Face-shape analysis, to decide where to highlight, how to shape the eyes and which features to bring forward. And colour theory, her speciality, to get your undertone right and match the real light of your ceremony, which is very different in a city-centre church at midday from a country estate at sunset.
Why the trial is essential
The trial is where decisions are made calmly. We try out the full look, adjust it and you leave wearing it, so you can see how it behaves over the day and how it photographs. On the wedding day nothing is improvised: we recreate what we agreed.
We recommend having it one to two months before the wedding, once your dress and hairstyle are decided. Our guide to the bridal makeup trial covers what to bring and what to ask in detail.
Made to last, and made for the camera
A wedding is a long day: ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast, dancing. And in Málaga, often in the heat. We prep the skin so the makeup settles, work in thin layers, use water-resistant products around the eyes and set everything at the end.
Photography calls for balance. Flash is unforgiving with heavy layers and some shimmery products; natural light shows up any foundation that isn’t your shade. That’s why we pay as much attention to texture as to colour.
If you’re one of the many couples choosing Málaga as a destination for their wedding, the same approach applies: we do your trial and your wedding-day makeup at our centre in the city, so it’s worth building both appointments into your travel plans early.
Your skincare timeline before the wedding
If you’d like your skin to be at its best on the day, we can plan facials in the months beforehand. What matters is leaving enough time: nothing intensive in the final week. A deep cleansing facial a few days before, a lip hydration treatment or a lash lift are popular extras. And if you’re thinking about your brows, microblading is best done several months in advance.

What our clients say
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find a bridal makeup artist in Málaga?
At Narumi, Calle Cristo de la Epidemia 33, in Málaga city centre, a few minutes' walk from the historic centre, La Victoria and El Ejido. Marta Fernández does both the trial and the bridal makeup at the centre, in good light and without any rush. Message us on +34 611 500 328 as soon as you have a date. Appointments are in Spanish, but write to us on WhatsApp and we'll do our best to help.
How much does bridal makeup cost in Málaga?
The table on this page lists bridal makeup and the trial separately. If it says 'Ask us', send us a WhatsApp message with your wedding date and we'll give you a price. If mothers of the couple, bridesmaids or guests are also having their makeup done, let us know so we can arrange everything together.
When should I have my bridal makeup trial?
Usually one to two months before the wedding. By then your dress and hairstyle are decided, your skin is in a similar state to how it will be on the day, and there's time to tweak any details. If you plan to get a tan, it's worth bearing that in mind at the trial.
How far in advance do I need to book?
As early as you can, especially if you're getting married between April and October, when most weddings in Málaga take place. As soon as you have the date and time of the ceremony, message us to book both the trial and the wedding day. If you live abroad, tell us when you'll be in Málaga and we'll plan the trial around your trip.
How long does bridal makeup last?
It's designed to last from the ceremony right through to the dancing. We prep the skin, work in thin layers and set everything at the end. How long it lasts also depends on your skin, the heat and the emotions of the day; at the trial we check how it behaves on you.
What should I bring to my makeup trial?
Come with a clean face. Bring photos of your dress, your hairstyle and makeup looks you like, and if possible the colour of your bouquet or jewellery. If your hair trial is on the same day, coordinate the order. Wear a white or light-coloured top so we can see the shades clearly.
Do you do bridal makeup at the venue or at home?
The trial and the makeup take place at the centre, where we have the right light, space and all our kit to hand. If you have a specific need for your wedding day, message us on WhatsApp and we'll talk it through.
Do you also do makeup for mothers of the couple and guests?
Yes. Mothers, sisters, bridesmaids or friends can book wedding guest makeup. We plan it well ahead so their timings fit around the bride's, with no rushing on the day.
Will my makeup survive tears and the heat?
We use long-wear, water-resistant products around the eyes and set the makeup at the end. Even so, at a summer wedding in Málaga it's wise to carry a small touch-up kit: lipstick and blotting papers. Try not to rub your eyes; gentle dabbing is best.
Which facials should I have before the wedding?
A deep cleansing facial a few days before and, in the months leading up to it, whatever plan suits your skin best. The key is not to try anything intensive for the first time in the final week. If you'd like a skincare plan, we can put it together with you at your trial or at an assessment.
