Dermapen microneedling in Málaga
Dermapen is a cosmetic microneedling treatment: a device with very fine micro-needles creates superficial micro-channels in the skin that help cosmetic actives absorb. At Narumi, in Málaga city centre, Marta Fernández uses it to improve the look of uneven texture, enlarged pores and superficial marks. Each session takes about 45–60 minutes, and 3 to 6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, are usually recommended.

How Dermapen works
Dermapen is a pen-shaped device fitted with a cartridge of very fine micro-needles that move rapidly. As it glides over the skin, it creates superficial micro-channels. These do two jobs: they help the cosmetic actives applied to the skin absorb more effectively, and they prompt the skin’s natural renewal response, which over several sessions shows as a finer, more even texture.
In a beauty and aesthetics centre, microneedling is carried out at superficial depths. It isn’t a medical technique: nothing is injected and no medical substances are used. That’s the difference from deeper microneedling or mesotherapy, which are performed by dermatologists and aesthetic doctors.
How we do it at Narumi
Safety starts before the device is even switched on: we assess your skin and history, cleanse and disinfect thoroughly, and use sterile, single-use cartridges. During the session, Marta works area by area and adjusts the intensity: the forehead and cheeks can take different work from the nose or around the mouth, and the eye area is treated with particular care or left out.
The cosmetic active is chosen for your goal: more hydration if your skin is dull and dehydrated, other actives if we’re aiming for a more even look. Afterwards your skin will be pink and warm; that’s the expected reaction.
Realistic results
Dermapen results build gradually. After the first session, once the redness settles, skin usually looks brighter. Improvements in pores and texture show over the course, and superficial marks need more sessions and consistency. It doesn’t fill wrinkles or tighten noticeably sagging skin; if that’s your goal, we’ll point you towards a radiofrequency facial or Bellaction Duo facial.
If you’re torn between this and a peel, our guide Dermapen or chemical peel will help you decide.

What our clients say
Frequently asked questions
Where can I get Dermapen in Málaga?
At Narumi Estética Avanzada & Bienestar, Calle Cristo de la Epidemia, 33, in Málaga's Distrito Centro. We're close to El Ejido and Capuchinos and a few minutes' walk from the historic centre. We assess your skin before your first session. Book on WhatsApp, by phone or using the form.
How much does a Dermapen session cost?
A single session, courses of 4 and 8 sessions and Pack 2 (deep cleansing facial, chemical peel and Dermapen) are all listed in the price table on this page. As Dermapen is done as a course, a multi-session package usually works out better; we'll confirm after your assessment.
How many Dermapen sessions will I need?
Between 3 and 6 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, depending on your starting texture and your goal. That gap gives your skin time to respond between sessions. For dullness or pores, fewer sessions are often enough; superficial marks usually need more. We review your progress at every session.
Does Dermapen hurt?
You'll feel a fine, repeated pricking along with the device's vibration. On the forehead and cheeks it's usually quite tolerable; over bony areas, such as the jawline or beside the nose, it's more noticeable. We work at superficial depths and adjust the intensity to your sensitivity.
Is Dermapen the same as mesotherapy?
No. Facial mesotherapy, which involves injecting substances, is a medical procedure we don't offer. Cosmetic Dermapen creates superficial micro-channels and is paired with cosmetic actives applied to the skin, not injected. Nor is it the same as deeper medical microneedling, which is carried out by a dermatologist or aesthetic doctor.
How long does the redness last?
Your skin will usually look pink, as after mild sun, for 24 to 48 hours. It may then feel a little rough for a few days. That's why we don't recommend booking Dermapen right before an event: leave at least a week.
Does Dermapen help with acne marks?
It can improve the look of superficial marks left by old spots, over a course of sessions and with patience in between. Deep or very indented scars need medical techniques. If you still get inflamed breakouts, see your dermatologist first: we don't work over active blemishes.
Which actives are used with Dermapen?
We use cosmetic actives chosen for your goal, such as hydrating or brightening serums, applied to the skin during and after microneedling. We don't use medical substances or injectables. If you have a known allergy or your skin reacts to certain ingredients, tell us at your assessment so we can choose the active with a safety margin.
Can I have Dermapen in summer?
You can, with very strict sun protection and no direct sun for the following week. In Málaga, if you've got beach days or lots of sun planned, it's better to wait or choose another option. Autumn and winter are the easiest seasons to complete a full course.
Can it be combined with a chemical peel?
Yes, but never on the same day. A peel beforehand prepares the surface and Dermapen then works on texture; that's why Pack 2 includes a deep cleansing facial, a peel and Dermapen in separate sessions. We'll tell you the order and spacing that suit your skin.
